My 8 favorites – Judit look-alikes

This is the latest instalment in the Com Hem campaign by the people at King. It carries on the spirit of the fictional twin characters Judit and Judit through eight different look-alikes to illustrate the variety of channels supplied by Com Hem. The original campaign, celebrating Com Hem’s 10th anniversary, premiered in 2009 and has been extremely popular, much due to Judit and Judit’s Youtube cameo.

Make room for summer

These colourful images were created for IKEA’s little summer catalogue for the traditional little swedish summer house. It was certainly one of the smallest IKEA catalogues we have ever seen – just 88 x 104 millimetres.

Historical vacuum cleaners

When did you last go to a historical museum to see a modern vacuum cleaner? Well, head off to the Sjöhistoriska (Historical Maritime) Museum in Stockholm and take a look. The exhibition is all about the plastic waste that ends up polluting the seas. Shame on us all! But congratulations to the creatives at Prime and Electrolux. Well done!

The swedish event of the year

Svenskt Tenn (‘Swedish Tin’) is an interior design shop founded in 1924. It’s famous for its elegant and boldly patterned design style. Svenskt Tenn contacted us for help in producing pictures for the launch of their new web shop. This was to be timely planned just two weeks before the swedish event of the year; thats to say the royal wedding of Victoria, the Crown Princess of Sweden. An enormous production was set into motion to photograph Svenskt Tenn’s extensive product range and meet the deadline. The new web shop was an instant success and since then Svenskt Tenn has become one of our faithful clients.

International colour themes and walls with legs

The brief from AD Jörgen Berglund was to create various home environments where the colours, tones and styling would represent the colour range from Beckers. With help from stylist Catrin Spegel we sought out the chosen props, in their various colours, which we could then use to represent an expression of Stockholm, Rejkavik, Barcelona, New England, New York, Paris and Wien. This project required the specific use of our studios for all of the pictures but thats no problem if you have ‘walls with legs’… to explain that, our extremely useful mobile walls within our studios were used to create space for the different environments so that we could uphold the clients time schedule despite the size of this project.

Vac from the sea

We certainly have the honour to work with some very talented people. Carl Fredrik Holtermann and Vanja Bajc from Prime were here for the shoot of the PR campaign ‘Vac from the sea’ by Electrolux. The award for this outstanding work was a Gold prize in yesterdays Swedish PR competition – Spinn ‘10. Congratulations from Bsmart! Tonight we will be celebrating this great news. Milda, the family butter by Unilever, has recently been given a new form by Lowe Brindfors. Lotta Nannmark and Joakim Norrman came to us with this mission to visualise this classic swedish butter.

Cinnamon Bun Day

In Sweden we just love our buns! We have Saffron Bun Day at Advent and Semlor Bun Day just before Easter. Today was Cinnamon Bun Day and art director Fredrik Josefsson from Åkestam Holst was at the frontline in our studio. If you think the raw ingredients look mouth-watering and inviting then we can assure you that the resulting buns were deliciously scrumptious as well.

Yes! Today we had the opportunity to show off our barbecuing skills – turn on the grill and turn up the heat. A simple mission to bring to life an excellent idea from art director Lars Hörnström at Grey Stockholm.

Big beer bubbles

The back end of a truck is a pretty good advertising space for promoting beer in the summertime. With the ad being in such a large format, our co-creators Fredrik Josefsson and Bella Lagerquist at Åkestam Holst were quite pedantic about the quality of the water droplets. With a little ‘magic’ from our retouch and 3D artists the ice cold beers were soon looking pretty refreshing.

Before and after

SSU wanted a ‘before and after’ campaign to illustrate their employment politics for the forthcoming election. Stylist Lisa Brobert from Lund Lund, made the final scenes complete.

Ice Ice Cream baby

It was a perfect joy watching still lifes melt, together with Robert Gardfors from design agency Identity Works. The results were slick though, resulting in luxury stills for summer 2010. Unsurprisingly, a lot of people were more than willing to help out during this particular shoot.

Swedish lager launch

Spacerabbit’s Mikael Hulkko required some styled food still lifes for the PR launch of Three Towns, Sweden’s new premium lager. Stylist Herman Rasmusson fixed the look and several pints later we ended up with some fancy dishes as well as the perfect froth.

Easy Cleaning

Barbara Wozna from Electrolux wanted to create the perfect environment for the modern, active woman. With help from stylist Catrin Spegel we searched and then found a great location on Lidingö (a very nice part of Stockholm to say the least). We then spent the week doing that wonderful household chore… you got it… cleaning. Being surrounded by vacuums you would think this would be easy but do not be fooled – the vacuums were just prototypes and were for show only. Back in the studio the images were retouched with the correct logos, leads and colours and the final ‘clean’ look was achieved.

The big cat of Sweden

Tiger of Sweden is one of our real heavyweight clients, and is also one of Sweden’s biggest retail brands. We provide images for lookbooks, sales and press, as well as supplying a steady flow of images for the web shop. Casting and production has also played a major role. Having been involved in these projects from idea to final result, we have developed together a new look and a new way of doing things.

The good and the bad

Stepping on a banana skin is classic cartoon bad luck. Good luck is when you have retouch artist Anna Nordstedt creating the perfect shade of banana brown for writing on banana skins. Anna also turned out to be a Photoshop pro for cross-stitching on pillows. The final result was an extensive campaign for Swedbank, art directed by Joakim Norman at Brindfors.

Going gold

Aestroem’s Jan Ragnartz teamed up with Bsmart to create a series of images for Coor, nordic leaders in service management. A picture bank of images was created, with their trademark ‘golden colour’, and has since been used in a wide and various range of communication.
